Some Friends Are Just Keepers...

Hey guys, it's pretty obvious I've been AWOL these couple of weeks. Nothing interesting happened that was worth blogging about. Except maybe my comments on football and tennis matches. But I doubt you guys wanna read my rantings on that.

I met up with my Soul Sista today. We went to Penang to attend her pre-departure briefing. I was supposed to go for mine on the 12th, but something came up. Since she's allowed to bring a friend along, she invited me and I tagged along. Its funny how things work out.

We went to Chicago for lunch. The food there was pretty good. Big portions though. The set up is pretty cool. After attending her pre-departure briefing, we went to Tutti Fruiti for frozen yogurt. I've never tried the frozen yogurt there before, totally glad she took me there. The yogurt is heavenly! Especially the Peach flavored yogurt. That's officially going down my favourite foods list.

Throughout the entire journey we very talking about our college days. Damn I miss those days. The silly friends, hilarious housemates, the drama, the tension....It just brings back so many memories. We reminisced on the shenanigans we used to get into. I've known my sista since we were in Standard 2, and I gotta admit, we did a lot of silly things in the past. She's been with me through thick and thin and we have so much fun together. Friends like these are hard to come by, but when they do, they're a keeper.

It hasn't quite hit me that I'll be leaving in less than three weeks. There are still a lot more things to settle and I'm starting to freak out. And the worst part is I don't get to meet up with my friends before leaving. Cue the water works people. I promised I would Skype with them before leaving. Let's see how that goes.

I'm off to continue my major responsibility of being an elf. Au Revoir peeps...

Santa's Lil Helper...

Hey guys, you might be wondering why I've gone A.W.O.L. since my day out with my BFF. Well, these few days I've been busy being an elf. Dad wants to re-establish his company, so he needs me to create and update a database. I gotta say, it's not an easy task. He has over 1000 contacts and I've gotta key in their contact information one by one. All this has to be done before I leave the country. I've been typing so much that even my dreams are about contact cards. True story...To think that my last month in Malaysia would be carefree. Ngeh~ at least I have something to do other than sitting around watching Family Guy. I'll keep you guys updated on my next "Big Adventure". Ciao~

Now That's What I Call Proper Time Management...

Hey guys, I'm back from my 2 days hiatus. Went to KL again for the second time this month. I'm a "Kampung Girl", so going to KL is a big thing for me. Plus, I'm a shopaholic. I need retail therapy to keep me going. Initially our plan was to stay there for 3 days. But since 31st is a public holiday and to top things off, it's new year's eve, we decided to avoid all the hassle and bassle of being stuck in jam hours by heading home early (dad's brilliant idea). I would have very much loved to stay in KL longer and do more shopping, but I had to agree with dad this time. I hate jams. On the way to KL, I received a facebook message from one of my friends, saying that he saw me on the highway. LOL. It's a small world after all. I managed to finish my shopping in 2 days. Got all I wanted and not a penny left unspent. I guess there won't be any shopping for me this month. We went to 1Utama and Pavilion. Those two are my favs.

We timed it such a way that we would reach Juru for dinner. We went to Soho as it has been ages since we last went there. I absolutely love the place. It's an old style English Country House. Most people assume it's a bar and find it intimidating. But I assure you people, you will not regret trying it out. They serve English food apart from the usual western food like fish n chips, chicken cordon bleu, etc. The decor and ambiance is amazing. Nice place to chill with your friends and family. I took a pic of the cute lil table coaster.

After dinner we grabbed a bottle of wine and headed home. Saw the massive jam heading towards Penang. Glad we decided not to stay in KL longer. Would have been caught in a jam much worse. We celebrated new year's with a glass of wine while watching Star Trek (I can be a geek sometimes...). And all these done within 2 short days. Awesome!

Here are some pictures from my previous trip to Soho:
